Sorry - Been A Little Busy

Maddy here-

Spring is upon us! We have been busy. Dave and his neighbor cut down a few trees, Will is learning how to cook with mommy and how to play with the ball. He loves to throw around the larger soccer ball. It is a community ball but it has been in our yard for awhile. I can't quite get it in my mouth but that is okay. I sometimes will chase Will while he chases the ball. He loves me. That is all that matters!

I will pass along the notice to Tucker to not wait so long next time for an update. After all, it is summer and summer time means lots of pictures!

Fun Early Spring Pictures

Tucker here-

Will is coming along. I think we might be able to be friends. I am still skeptical but we are in the process of being friends. He is learning to throw the ball further and further. That is so exciting! Sometimes Em gets frustrated with me because I want to take the ball to her to throw but we are figuring things out. He is alright. Below are some pictures of us playing.

Spring is in the air, even if we did have snow today.

Walking, Talking and Eating

Tucker here-

Well, it has finally started. Will is officially walking! Yes, very exciting. He thinks he should be able to run but every time he tries to walk really fast he falls. Doesn't seem to mind too much though. And I must admit, it is kind of cute (the video would not upload so hopefully I can get more footage soon and post it.)

Will is also talking a great deal which is so fun. He can say Maddy, banana and all done. I don't know that anyone could understand him except for Dave and Em but he can say them.

And finally, Will is eating foods on his own. He has been eating cheerios and graham crackers by himself for awhile but hadn't really ventured into fork and spoon foods until very recently. Here he is finishing up some yogurt.

The camera has been collecting dust most of this month. Hopefully with spring just around the corner it will surface again. Yeah for spring!

Winter Time Sickness....

Hello Faithful Readers-

Maddy here. I have to tell you about what is going on in our house right now. All the humans are under the weather. I am not sure exactly what the flu is but if the smells coming out of Will's body are any indication I don't ever want to have the flu! His toots smell worse than mine and believe me, that is saying something! Em came down with this flu thing early this morning and Dave, he isn't feeling so hot right now. So, it has been a quiet and mellow kind of day.

However, despite the sickness, Em took some pictures of Will in the snow last week. So far, Will is not all that fond of the snow. That isn't too surprising since he doesn't like new textures all that much. However, Em did get a few fun shots. Enjoy!

And one shot of sweet smiles....

Stay tuned for more fun events that will be posted later this month.

Toodles for now.

Cabin Fever...

Maddy & Tucker here-

We are doing a joint entry because we feel the same way. You see, it has been very cooooolllldddd this week. I think on Thursday it only reached like -4 degrees (yes, that is below zero). It was crazy! Tucker and I went out to do our business and promptly came back in. Even Will might be starting to go a little stir crazy. Take a look at what he did to his room today! I thought Em would be mad but she just smiled. He was happy and enjoying exploring his new world. Take a look....

Happy New Year!

Hello Everyone!

Maddy here. We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We did lots of travelling. Tucker hurt his knee before we left but he still managed to hobble around without too much trouble.

Our first stop was on the 23rd in Quincy, IL. We went to visit Grandma Betsy. My cousins Carly,Ingrid and Liam were there along with Auntie Dawn, Auntie Alicia, Uncle Derick, Uncle Larry and Aunt Tangie. Will was a good traveller. He loved playing with the toys at Grandma's. His favorite was a truck.

He played with that while everyone was opening presents. He really wasn't all that interested in the presents. He received lots and lots and seemed to enjoy the books the best. He is a book worm.

Here are the pictures of our cousins, Carly, Liam, and Ingrid.

After Grandma's house we went home to spend Christmas day at home. We opened stockings and a few small gifts. Em got Will and Dave matching shirts. Kind of cute.

On the 26th we headed down to Huntsville, AL, to visit Dave's brother and family, Larry and Tangela and Carly. We had a nice, relaxing visit. Dave disc golfed and Em, Will, Tangela and Carly did a little shopping. Tucker and I held down the fort.

We hope your family had a nice holiday and have a wonderful NEW YEAR!

Thanksgiving - a time of playing!

Maddy here!

You will never believe what we did for Thanksgiving. We got to go to stay with Dave and Em's good friends, the Beattys. I am not sure where Dave, Em and Will went but something about North Carolina. I sort of remember going there a long time ago. Huh.....

Anyway, we had so much fun with their pup, Max. He is a crazy dog with energy kind of like mine. It was a blast! They also have 3 kids that love to play so we enjoyed their company. For some reason I did not get to keep the camera with me so no pictures of Tucker, Max and I but Em took lots of pictures of Thanksgiving with people family. For some reason she took more pictures of Will than anyone else. Not sure what her feddish is with him. If number of pictures define love he is very loved and I am very NOT! I might need to get in a few more pictures!

Enjoy the pictures!

The last couple of pictures are of a guest that joined us for the Thanksgiving feast. Her name is Sandy. She is in the military and her husband was out to sea for the holiday. She is a good friend of Michelle's. She was a reminder of so many families that are without loved ones this holiday season. Please keep them in your prayers.
