YIKES!!! - 2 Months have gone by!

WOWSERS! It has been two months since we have last posted. I have done a little changing in the last two months but Will has done so much more. He is eating lots of different foods now (and not sharing) has been swimming several times, sits up without help and has become very, very mobile. He is not crawling much but probably by the next posting the little guy will be.

Will has also taken his first airplane ride this past month down to Atlanta, GA, to visit some friends. Dave and Em say he did okay but did not sleep very well - probably because they were all in the same room. Will wakes up in the middle of the night kicking but doesn't cry out so often Dave and Em don't hear him. Well, I do. He wakes me up every night - several times a night sometimes. Crazy kid! And yet, I am becoming more fond of him all the time.

Here are a few pictures from the last couple of months.

SWIMMING FOR THE FIRST TIME AND LOVING IT!

Will was invited to his first Birthday Party. The highlight for him - sitting in a TANKA truck!

An All Around Cute Kid!

That is it for now. We have some more that we can post soon!

Toodles!

Fun with Adobe

Howdy Folks!

So did you hear that Will ate cereal today? I am so pumped. He will have food on the floor in no time. I have been waiting for this so long. You have no idea!

I mean, Em and I played with Adobe last night and had fun with the black and white feature. Here are some fun shots of Will - slightly altered.

Dave helped with the last one. It took a lot of work but it is cool shot!

Enjoy!

Next month I will take center stage so I will have lots more to say.

Toodles until then. Maddy...

February - A Month of Growth

Tucker Here-

This has been a very full month. It has snowed several days this past month, Em has still been home on Thursdays and Fridays working and Dave is still playing disc golf. In fact, this past month he has played in two tournaments. Yes, they were cold but he loved it! I think I would love it too if he would take me. He keeps saying I catch the discs and shouldn't. Well hello, I am a retriever!

And there there is Will - the little guy who has done the most changing. I must say I am very excited with Will. He began eating solids today. Yes, he is no longer a liquid only drinking baby. He is still sleeping lots and growing. He went to the doctor this month and is up to 14.8 pounds and is 24" long. He is smiling more and more every day and has started giggling. I must say, he is cute - for a human. Here are some snapshots from the last month.

Will is near the remote sitting on the couch with his daddy. He seems pretty happy.

I am just not sure if he likes the cereal. I think I am really going to like it because soon he will be eating cheerios and those are sure to fall on the ground! It is my civic duty to help keep the house clean!

Maybe more important than cleaning up the cheerios is teaching Will how to throw the ball for me. Our first attempt left both of us a little puzzled. He will get the hang of it (I hope).

Cool Uncle Colin (as he affectionately calls himself) loves his little nephew. The other night he called Em and asked to speak with Will. Did not even want to talk to Em. Boy, I know how she feels. Ever since Will has come along I have been pushed down the ladder of importance too.

Papa Charlie loves his little Grandbaby. The feeling is mutual.

And finally, to those of you who have know the Owens family for awhile know about the Toyota Tank. It finally died several weeks ago. The engine died. It had 230,000+ miles, the same timing belt throughout its life and was a wonderful vehicle. So now, Dave and Em are sharing the RAV4. May the Toyota Tank RIP.

Maddy has some pictures to share. They are more artistic so she will sign off for this month. May your final winter days be full of sunshine.

'Til next time- Tucker signing off....

January 2008 Pictures of Will

Hello! Maddy Here....

Things are moving along in the Owens household. Tucker and I just watch as the household goes by. Will is starting to do things he has never done before and I make sure to reward him with a kiss. Em says I can only give him one but sometimes I sneak in an extra. He is sweet to kiss. I think I like him as long as he plays by my terms.

This month Will grew another month older (as I am sure you all did - even I did). Here are some pictures of the many faces of Will.

Dave loves overalls. It is easier to keep up with Will!

Will likes bright lights. He likes the screen but Dave and Em only let him see it every once inawhile. Supposedly the screens are not good for his eyes.

Dave & Em's good friend, Darren, introduced Will to football. Will seemed intrigued. Either that or he just likes to be held.

And finally, Will loves to play under his activity center for babies. This past week he learned how to roll over from his tummy to his back. He did it twice. I think this means he is getting more mobile which means he will be able to play soon!
Well, that sums up this past month. Will still sleeps lots but he is doing about 10 to 12 hours of that sleeping at night! That means Tucker and I get more sound sleep (Dave and Em too!). He has a pillow in his crib with a cow on it that he talks to in his crib. It is so funny!I am not sure what he is saying but it is loud and brings lots of smiles from Dave and Em.

More pictures to come!

Toodles for this month,

Love Maddy...

Merry Christmas!

This is Tucker and I have some news to report on.

Maddy and I arrived back home last night after 2 days with the Owens side of the family in Quincy, IL. First, Larry and his wife Tangela (Dave's brother) and their daughter came up for a visit in Downs and we drove to Quincy together. Maddy and I always are excited to go to a new place because we love being with Dave, Em and even Will but we are always glad to get home too.

Here are some fun pictures from this past weekend.

Will and I are getting along well. I even let him snuggle with me. Dave and Em keep a close eye on me and Will but since I kind of like him I won't hurt him. He just might fall and my paws have a hard time catching anything.

The shirt is from Em's good friend, Rachel. It sums Will up - Silly.

Will has a new ride. Dave and Em say it is a stroller and a bike trailer. The stroller is for walking which is something I understand but not so sure about the Bike trailer part. It has a spot for two little people. I think Maddy could maybe fit in there. I probably could but honestly, I am a little bit too big. Will would have to sit somewhere else. Thanks Aunt Marilee and Uncle Norm for the awesome gift.

Grandma Betsy gave Will a bottle which from what I can tell is where Will can get some food. That was the first time she had fed him and was a pro.

This was the first visit we had with Carly. She was a very nice young lady and enjoyed holding Will. She was really good at it! She could make him stop crying which, believe me, is really nice.

On Christmas morning Dave, Em, Will and Grandma Betsy met Larry, Tangela and Carly at Quinsippi Island. Dave and Em had to deactivate a geocache (see http://www.geocaching.com/ for more information). It was a beautiful morning. Maddy and I enjoyed running in the snow. We had a blast!

And here are some pictures of Will's first Christmas. I think it is interesting that humans celebrate the baby's first Christmas but none after that. I mean, they only have 1 second Christmas too but you don't see ornaments for Toodler's Second Christmas. Oh well....

Father like son.

Will's Auntie Dawn loves her nieces and nephews. She wanted to sart Will out early with talking on the phone so she gave hims first cell phone. I am sure he was more excited on the inside than he looks in this picture. He also received some clothes, more toys and lots of hugs and kisses.

All in all, it was a nice Christmas. Papa Charlie is coming up this weekend to see Will (also to see Dave and Em but I think we all know who he is more interested in seeing!).

Reporting on behalf of the entire Owens Family, Merry Christmas and see you next year!

A Few of his Favorite Things!

Maddy Here...

Sorry I would have written sooner but there was a communication error between me and Tucker. I thought he was posting, he thought I was posting... At anyrate, I am posting now.

So much has happened in the last month. Will is still with us and I like him more and more every day. He still can't throw a ball but he is moving his arms and legs more and more every day. He is even talking. It is really funny to listen to him talk when he goes to bed. Today he just talked and talked. He is a funny little boy and super cute. Take a look:
